Hi Milos, So did you get to reply to Paul, and test his code? Then if you get stuck, we can offer to him to help us test it, and sponsor finishing the work? -- Xavier On Mon, Feb 16, 2026, at 16:04, Xavier Antoviaque wrote:
That was because posts from non-members require manual approval. When it's like this, you can just reply to the email from him, keeping the ML in CC, and everything will eventually end up correctly on the ML :)

Hey, did you get Paul's reply? I got a reply from him, not but from the ML, and I don't see it on the ML, even tho he did CC it

No attempt was made to compile/test it with recent libavfilter.
It does not have EAC or cubemap support, among many other stuff. On todays GPUs with GBs of GPU RAM whole remap data could be stored in memory like what CPU v360 filter does. Then speed could be even faster?! or not...

Hey Paul,
Hope you're doing well. Just wanted to ask if you had time to check if you still have the source code of `vf_v360_opencl.c`.
Thanks!

He didn't send us the code, he's yet to find it. It's an old one that's not adapted for current FFmpeg so it'll need refactoring before we could test its functionalities. He mentioned remap as an option which I've been wanting to look into, but I haven't found the time yet to dive deeper and be able to actually give back something meaningful
