After considering the issues at hand, an idea came up to not let users
create an account until they have purchased their Whitebox. This would
remove the complexities of linking pre-existing accounts to new accounts.
When signing in on the Whitebox app, the account could link to the Whitebox
itself once successfully signed in.
Just some thoughts, please let me know what you think.

Hi Tristan, I agree, not allowing to create an account before ordering a Whitebox helps simplifying things for the new user, the flow is more straightforward. But it doesn't fully remove the complexity of linking pre-existing accounts to new accounts, as someone might already have ordered a Whitebox in the past... Also, there would still be two cases for the user who has just purchased a Whitebox: • creating their account while waiting for their Whitebox, following the prompt received by email • or missing that email, creating the account directly on the Whitebox Also, we will need to be precise about how an account is linked to a given Whitebox. We could just take the first person who logs in on one - but then we don't know which purchase that Whitebox should be linked to, and we will have two different emails for the account: the one used at purchase, and the one used at account creation.
